  • 1 small carrot, diced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 unbaked pie crusts (9-inch)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add onion, garlic, and carrot; cook until soft.
  3. Stir in flour, then add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme. Simmer for about 5 minutes and allow to cool slightly.
  4. Place one pie crust in a pie plate, fill with the cooled mixture, cover with the second crust, seal edges by crimping.
