  • 14.5 tbsp salted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 35 Werther's soft caramels

Instructions

  1. Unwrap caramels, reserving 15 whole ones for stuffing and slicing the rest.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter and whisk in both sugars until combined.
  3. Add vanilla and eggs; mix until smooth.
  4. Stir in dry ingredients until a dough forms, then fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Chill dough for 20 minutes before scooping into balls.
  6. Form balls around whole caramels and top with sliced caramels and extra chocolate chips.
  7. Preheat oven to 365°F (185°C) and bake on parchment-lined sheets for 10-12 minutes.
