  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well mixed.
  3. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the meat mixture, followed by half of the sliced potatoes and half of the soup mixed with milk.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and drizzle melted butter over it.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
