Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lobster tails
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Prepare the lobster tails by thawing if frozen and cutting down the back of each shell. Open the shell carefully to expose the meat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the buttermilk and Old Bay seasoning. Submerge each lobster tail in the mixture and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, place the all-purpose flour. After marinating, remove each tail from the buttermilk, letting excess drip off, and dredge thoroughly in flour.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry each coated lobster tail until golden brown (about 3-5 minutes), then remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
