Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head cauliflower
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Trim the outer leaves and stem from the cauliflower while keeping the core intact. Slice into 1-inch thick steaks (about 2-3 steaks).
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. Brush both sides of each cauliflower steak with the seasoned oil mixture.
  5. Place the coated steaks on the baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes until tender with golden edges.
  6. For extra crispiness, broil for an additional 2–3 minutes while watching closely to avoid burning.
  7. Let rest for one minute before garnishing with parsley or chives if desired. Serve hot.
