  • Blue gel food coloring
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Milk (to adjust consistency)
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate cookies
  • Extra mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk and yeast; let sit until foamy. Mix in sugar, egg, egg yolk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir in flour and salt until combined. Knead until the dough is soft and slightly sticky; add blue food coloring.
  3. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with plastic wrap until doubled in size (about 1 to 1½ hours).
  4. For the filling, mix softened butter with brown sugar and cinnamon; stir in cookie crumbs and mini chocolate chips.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread filling evenly, roll tightly into a log, and cut into rolls.
  6. Place in a greased baking dish; let rise again for about 30 to 45 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F for about 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Prepare icing by mixing cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  9. Drizzle icing over warm rolls and top with crushed cookies.
