  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon tallow or turkey bacon grease
  • Chili powder (optional)
  • Cumin (optional)
  • Kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon until crispy; set aside.
  2. Preheat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat and add tallow.
  3. Sear the sirloin chunks for 2-3 minutes per side; remove from pot.
  4. Add ground beef and optional spices; cook until browned.
  5. Return sirloin to the pot and pour in beef broth; mix well.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes.
  7. Stir in crumbled turkey bacon; season with salt to taste.
